 Conference Held in Las Vegas

The 2006 PSWA Conference was held March 23, 26 at the Las Vegas Club in Las Vegas.  Attendees from across the country enjoyed a Thursday night reception, two information-packed days of sessions on marketing, writing, publishing and other timely subjects and the opportunity to meet and network with other writers whose work includes fiction, non-fiction, books, magazine articles, newspaper stories and other genres.

The conference also offered opportunities for attendees to sell their books, participate in a silent auction and talk one-on-one to our speakers.

Sunday, morning sessions were followed by our awards ceremony recognizing winners in the writing competition.  (See article below for a list of all winners.)

Evaluations completed by those attending indicate that a good time was had by all, much was learned, new friendships were formed and everyone was encouraged to do what we all like best – keep on writing!

Next year, the conference will again be held in Las Vegas but will likely move in 2008 to another city.  A committee will be working on relocating the conference and all input into that decision is welcome.  Please contact molsen@policewriter.com with your ideas.
